Robert Fromson, CPA-PFS-QFP

Robert is the founding member of the firm and has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in California since June 1971. He also holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation earned by many hours of classwork and passing a comprehensive examination administered by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and is a member of both the AICPA and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (Cal CPA). Robert also holds the Qualified Financial Planner (QFP) designation, and offers counsel in all areas of tax, estate and financial planning. Robert has helped literally hundreds of clients with the design and implementation of both their estate and financial plans, including portfolio design and monitoring and funding and management of family trusts. Robert registered with the Attorney General of the State of California as a professional trustee.

Jim Hallissy has been an integral part of Fromson & Scisssors since June 1994.  Jim prepares all types of income tax returns - Individual, C and S Corporations, Partnerships including LLCs, LLPs, Fiduciary Returns including both Forms 1041 and 5227.  Additionally, Jim prepares in house payrolls so that client privacy is maintained at a higher level than at payroll processing services, and he handles financial planning for many clients.  As of July 1, 2024, Jim will have his own firm, while continuing to work with Fromson & Scissors clients as he has for the last thirty years.
